Nah its coming from the wall.
Well u have to consider walls have studs 12” apart. That means there’s only a 12x4” area, not many things can survive there. Maybe it fell from the attic or up from the basement. Ull know in a few days bc it will likely die if it’s inside the wall.
Drill a 7/8” hole and put a trap next to the whole with peanut butter. It will draw him out and bam.
But now u have a hole to patch.

Gotcha. Couldnt it just use the walls to travel though?

I’m saying thisnbecause I had a squirrel that got in the attic before due to the HVAC company that did work on my house not seeling an area correctly. I never heard the squirrel in the walls, only when it would climb the side of the house and get in the attic.

Not really bc ofthe studs. There would need to be a hole or an access created by a contractor or something like that. In my experience it’s usually in the attic and it just sounds like it’s coming from the wall.
Try to pinpoint the sound location and get it out yourself. A pest company will make a huge deal out of it and charge u out the ass.

Youre saying the mouse probably get in from a hole on the outside? And the hole the squirrel got in was closed off. You think I should survey the outside of the house?

And this morning Im pretty sure it was in the wall because the sound was coming from where my nightstand (but inside the wall). I had a plate in my room from dinner so idk if the scene is what brought it to that area.

Had to be some kind of void/access created if it’s in the wall. Poke a small hole before u go to get it out to make sure. It will likely die if it’s trapped in the wall OR it will leave the way it came in.

Do a survey of the house, especially behind the fridge and stove. Buy an ultrasonic rodent deterrent from Amazon and plug it into the wall where you hear it. The sound will bother it and it will leave whatever hole it came in. Those things works from first hand experience

Take a video of it scratching against the wall then post it here, based on the noise I'll give you some advice. Where do you live. It's cold as fukk in most areas so most rodents aren't outside chillin. Could've been in there for a while.
