Breh's I'm sick of living in the 90s help me buy a HDTV

So I finally finished my fourth year of professional school and I want to celebrate by finally getting a HDTV to play by PS3 on.
I want a 40 inch, 1080 whatever type tv for around 300-400 bucks I'd like in sooner rather than later too.....
just searching amazon I came up with this junk

before anyone clowns me it's got nice reviews and the screen is made by samsung

You can do better breh. Just make sure you get a samsung, sharp, or sony. Try sams club if you got one nearby. Even walmart has some decent sets for the price. Dont get some bootleg brand though youll regret it in a year or two when you got dead pixels and no warranty

Iono about that breh. I was the same way when I bought my first HDTV. Broke bread on the Samsung and it was dope. 2 Thanksgivings ago my girl who gives 2 sh!t about name brands comes in with a 46'' APEX. I was like :WTF: she was like it was $400. I wanted to hate on it but once we got them HDMI cables and hooked everything up that ho worked great. Since it was the cheaper one I figure I would use it to play the PS3 on and its perfect. Still going strong.

I'm not a super tech guy so I'm not counting pixels and shyt

But the Picture and Sound are very similar, and I spent like $300-$400 more for the Samsung

I kinda regret wasting that extra money on the Samsung now

I'm not trying to break bread like that on a TV, I mean I barely have time to play videogames as it is and I don't have digital cable or anything.
The most ill do is play videogames on it and stream amazon/netflix u know

as long as you look up reviews for the product before hand there wont be any surprises, so you can buy the offbrands as long as they got good reviews your set.

Yeah the TV I linked was apparently on sale for 300 around christmas time, I feel messed up paying 100 more for no real reason..... I'll give it till monday and hopefully something comes up

i've had my Westinghouse HDTV for more than 5 years and it's still going strong. built in DVD player too! i have small fan hooked up in the back for ventilation and cooling that is plugged in to the back of my cable box so i soon as i turn the cable on the fan in the back starts cooling my tv.

cant' hear it with the TV on and as soon as i turn off the cable box the fav turns off.
