Brehs is accounting a good major?

i didn’t wanna be like them cac kids in college that switch up majors outta nowhere, but going from business admin to accounting won’t hurt me. I was thinking of getting into accounting and then getting the cpa. And accounting seems cooler cuz I wanna start my own shyt later down the line. I wanna hear from you brehs that are accounting brehs.

I am doing it right now. It’s a time consuming profession if you want to go public accounting route, I will go private or government.


Also CPA is hard work. You can get good money though if you get it and put in work.

Yeah I want something that’s a little bit of a challenge. Imma see how I like accounting once I take my accounting courses first

I have a group of friends from college who were all accounting majors who now have very solid careers making good money living comfortably as we all hit 30

Do what makes you happy breh. Too much opportunity out here to pick a major that you hate just because it makes money. We don’t live in our parents or grandparents generation. Figure out your ideal life and then figure out what you have to do to get it.

yeah..one of my friends is an accounting major..she makes great paper in a high position with one of the big 4

Yep. It’s very safe just follow the route

-Get accounting degree
-Get a Big 4 position (or big 6 if you add BDO & RSM)
-Get the 4-5 years of experience
-Bounce
