I've heard from relatives and people around the way that they limit the amount of food each person gets power week and up until recently started letting people open their own businesses. Before they did things the illegal way. They still do. Either repairing cars or doing sewing repairs or other small jobs. They also limit internet use. There was one blogger lady, well known. Think she got arrested last I heard, but I haven't heard much recently or been keeping up with anything. Don't know if the embargo is still up but the infrastructure and technology is outdated unless it's smuggled in. Raul is a bit lenient than Fidel but not by much.

The thing I don't understand is why they say that Cuba only has old things, like time stopped in 1960.

Okay, the US doesn't trade with Cuba, but that doesn't mean that other countries don't trade with Cuba.
shyt, somebody gotta have the 2014 Camry or something down there.

I get the the country is relatively poor, but come on.

"Cuban baseball players" :skip:.....

The Hernandez brothers were the Goat pitchers....

Even with the lack of resources they came over being light years ahead of anything the farms in the U.S. could produce....
I've had friends who have visited Cuba and said it was just like living here.... you have have money, you lived a suburban life....If you were poor.... you lived in dire conditions

i think it has to do with the fact that all international trade is dealt in US dollars as a result of the dollar being the wold reserve currency and therefore Cuba doesnt have any US dollar reserves to use in international trade as a reuslt of the embargo. Im probably wrong doe. I aint no economist:yeshrug:

I dunno breh, this sounds weird.

So when Japan trades with China, it's not in Yen or Yuan, but dollars?

I'm skeptical, breh
