I don't get the hate to be honest, yeah the transformers franchise was an abomination that never entertained me. But the guy still makes movies for red blooded heteros with propensity for high octane action in an age where the gay is in. That in itself deserves kudos. I will never forget how I felt when I watched the rock and badboys for the 1st time. He clearly has talent and knows his lane, for the most part are you not entertained?

From a special effects and pure action movie standpoint? Yeah, the man is talented in making stuff look very easy but we should all know, it's not. His problems are in dialogue and character and sometimes basic story

I don't understand what that means
I dont think he is , he just realized the formula for getting rich off of idiots and marvel is following in his footsteps. ppl are getting dumber by the decade. Trash movies and music are more successful than ever. You think ppl from 20 years ago would go out and see the same goddamn superhero movie over and over again? 
I don't know to what extent he's involved in the production, but he TV show Black Sails is very good. And it's pretty much the opposite of Michael Bay films, there are gay and bisexual characters(not that I give a shyt), blacks are depicted as being every bit as intelligent and capable as whites, and while the show is based on "testosterone" it's still very realistic and cerebral.

If you base the analysis on sales and revenue, he is definitely genius.
It's not satirical, he knows what the masses want. That's a skill that very few people have. Even many that do have this skill are clouded by their own ego or their own fear of "selling out".
At the end of the day there's a reason why brain dead action summer films take in 100's of millions.
