So what's his classic then? Please don't say AR - bc no one cared about that album in 97.

I don't know where you were in '97, but everybody where i'm from cared about Adrenaline Rush.

And around that time, many artists tried to get on a track and start spittin' like that (see "Is This The End?"),
so I won't believe you if you try to say it wasn't influential.

And didn't Cam'ron at his height remake the title track? Yeah.

So yeah - I won't even say it's a "classic" per se, but you said he doesn't have anything "near" a classic. Nah,
I ain't goin' with that.

Kamikaze is a solid album as well, and is better than most albums that came out around that time.

The problem wit twista is that he went pop and started making horrible, commercialized tracks..

But everybody in the city was fukking wit twista in his prime...can't say the same for anybody else except do or die & the flict, but they wasn't fukkin wit twist lyrically

Common & lupe never got the overall love from the city like that

Psychodrama didn't drop enough music

Kanye was tolerable when he 1st came out I guess and was shown some love in the city, but I never viewed him as a great rapper..he aight at best

Real talk, you can't be the best rapper from your city if you can't even flip your cities' style.

Chicago is fast spit. Triple Darkness, Do Or Die, Crucial Conflict, Psychodrama and alla that thurr is Chicago Rap.

Common and Lu ain't doin' that. Ye got on "Slow Jams" with Twista and started singin'. lol

Its really no debate. Since com gets east coast love I named him the KONY which he is, but no way is he best out the Chi.

Eminem can't be the best to come out of the D since his shyt doesn't doubt like Slum Village, Jdilla?

Who cares? Common and Lupe are better than Twista.

Lupe has rocked that fast Chicago flow plenty of times.

I was in the Bay. No one cared about the album. Everything that you're talking about is correctly attributed to his verse on Po Pimp. That was a huge song. AR though? No single got radio play. I never saw a video on Rap City or CMC.
The Puff song? Recorded before AR dropped (since both albums dropped basically around the same time).
97 was dominated by Big, Puff, Mase and Wu. Bone was still big too. Twista's album did nothing.

Kamakazee was half ass cheeks.

@Taadow - I'm fine with calling it a regional classic. The 2nd RBL album and Master P's West Coast Bad Boyz are regional classics to me - but I would never claim they were actual classics.
