Let me preface this. Yes. I know I'm a jets fan. Yes I know the jets themselves arent great at drafting and yes I know whatever else youll try to use to discredit and brush this off.

BUT.

Heres the difference. Anybody who isnt a pats fans can see certain things. That since spygate the nfl media went into over drive praisinh the pats. "The patriot way" "genius" "what a great draft" "wow what a great signing." Literally everything they do is shoved down our throats by the media as proof of bills genius.

And lets face it. The refs always give pats the calls. All brady has to do is give that whiny tantrum to a ref and its an automatic flag.

:ohhh: just look at that shyt. Thats some of the most embarrassing drafting ive ever seen. A lot of teams draft horrible though. But only the pats get rim jobs from the media every draft.

Lets face facts. Tom brady is a top 5 qb of all time. He has carried this team.

I mean isnt bill supposed to be a defensive genius? Why has his d been so consistently terrible every year?

Why is brady taking pay cuts to be surrounded by bums year in year year out?

And before someone says but but gronk and hern. Well guess what? They dropped in the draft for a reason. Gronk cant stay healthy and hern has been thuggin since he was 11. Their reign was short like leprachauns.

Spygate and the tuck rule defines their "destiny"

Sometimes I feel like Belichick tries to be too smart for his own good, going for low percentage, high risk personnel moves and justifying it by saying he still has Brady if they don't work out. Well, it's finally catching up to him...
I think at a certain point his ego took over. Thinks players are just replaceable by whoever.

If you mean every single pick in those drafts should be great players then I suppose you're right...but there are a lot of quality in those drafts who became Pro Bowlers or big time contributors to winning teams over that time span.

2008 - Mayo, Slater
2009 - Chung, Vollmer, Edelman
2010 - McCourty, Gronkowski, Spikes, Hernandez
2011 - Solder, Vereen, Ridley
2012 - Chandler Jones, Hightower, Dennard
2013 - Collins, Dobson, Ryan
2014 - too early to tell

Obviously not a 'genius' but also not as inept as a lot other GMs with higher draft picks over that span.

Thats a pretty generous list.

Chung? Vereen? Ridley? Dennard? Dobson? Ryan? Slater? Collins? Those are all pretty average picks.

The best two are gronk and hern and herns done and gronk i just dont think his body will hold up.

Mayo and mccourty are decent. Mccourtys worth gets exaggerated because of his rookie season. He struggled at corner after that.

Pretty marginal.

And really my point more so is that the media ball washes him so much.
