He was literally a comic book super hero brought to life

I am watching a playlist of all of his fight broadcasts. He was highly billed from early on - a phenom in the making .... but in looking back at these fights I could see that he was literally shaped to be a Marvel comic book character. He tried to retire and they should've let him because once Robin Givens was in the picture you could see his focus begin to deviate and slip and then once Rooney was fired he was beginning to look markedly sloppier

until this day ... the day the legend went down

I encourage you to find the playlists to watch all of the Mike Tyson fights, you can see the historic broadcasts and the way he was presented to the world. There is good reason and some basis why I never looked at Mike Tyson as an example of boxing, because the man was so physically primed beyond his competition that he was essentially a super hero. If he didn't exist you'd have to make him up

And then watch the Muhammad Ali playlist and the Floyd Mayweather playlist

Read the heartfelt comments about where people were the day this happened

He was 38-0 at 22 years old - he wanted to retire soon after Robin Givens came in the picture and that should've been a signal to get him a break from boxing until he could come back to it with renewed vigor

A lot of people blame Don King but it's abundantly clear that Robin Givens entering his life is the beginning of his fall from grace

and you could also see that he was majorly simping for her and she had him wrapped around her finger, a fact she exercised publicly
