Life is what you make
it .... brehs .....
I heard through the grapevine, letters or an organization don't make you, instead it's you
making the letters or organization. So if you are joining to showboat, then you're missing the point....
so what's so great about a fraternity is the service a collection of men can provide back to the community ..... so I've heard anyway

.
Black fraternities have been in the community for over a 100 years. 100s of thousands of black men have done there part to build a better black community.....its a work in progress. Its a historical thing, so if want to be part of this particularly piece of African American tradition then research and go from there. If not, then make your own African American impact, and it's still all good.
HBCUs are historical traditions, if you want to be part of it, then attend one of the 100+ institutions and/or send your kids. If not, go to an PWI, and still make your own African American impact. It's all good.
We are Black History Month in the flesh, so just make an impact for good.
BTW: Deltas are having their National Convention in Houston this summer, not far from where I stay. So if you are in a frat or not, it should be a great venue .... to provide some service.
