Not really necessary. Black girls rock is due to having no great portrayals or role models in the media and mainstream. Their phenotype isn't celebrated.

I'm not about to type out all the reasons why we don't need it, but black men dominate the Entertainment Industry. With men like Mayweather out there black men rock isn't really necessary. Not only that but the biggest porn site and highest selling porn out is dedicated to black men.

Blacks period aren't painted in a positive light. As men in general by nature even though we are told to be more emotional, we simply can't as if we sat and dwelled on what people thought of us we would accomplish nothing. I just find it interesting that we are told to be the root of every groups problem AND get no praise for anything. This thread isn't asking for praise in the literal sense, but more so an observation. I don't think there has been a public showing of a say black woman saying I stand with my man and has his back as he leads, while black men have to be on some "I`m sorry baby girl for oppressing you" when it comes to how we display affection in media, when we haven't done anything wrong naturally.

I think dudes are missing the point of this thread. The title is a damn joke,I would assume it would be common sense due to the smilies in the OP. I`m saying wouldn't it be beneficial to promote the entire Black Family.

It is necessary to address that unique aspect (beauty standards,womanhood,femininity)when discussing anti-blackness as it relates to black females.

Still,it would be useful to create #blackboysrock.For the sake of black boys facing anti-blackness and needing to counteract that.Just careful not to do so in a retaliatory fashion.Don't even so much as mention "well,black girls have #BGR so now we have #blackboysrock"
Instead just say "we have #blackboysrock solely because we want to counteract anti-blackness"

I understand why there is a BGR "movement" my thing is there should be focus on the Black Family along with the Black Man, the Black man is arguably the most broken human on earth. Not only is the black man being destroyed they demonize us on top of that. My thing is we can't forget about our boys.
