Got contacted regarding a job which has a selling aspect and not sure if i should take it or not i have never had a job involving any sales before so not sure if i should take it if i pass the interview. so to the question, how hard is selling stuff to people actually? (no cold calling involved)

what product? is income purely commission based or do you get a salary + commission?
Never had one myself but have know people that do and you either do really well or really bad, there is no in between. Depending on the product,market your in and amount of support you get from the company your income is basically based on how hard you hustle or not.

it's one of those you either have "it" or you don't kind of things, like he said above it's no real in between. lol I don't know too many people doing "just ok" in sales. if you have the right personality than it can work out for you. you gotta be super persistent, literally can not take no (they say the sale starts when the customer says no) for an answer and comfortable with interacting with all kinds of people all day. I lasted 3 or 4 weeks at a sales job, that extra aggressive, by any means approach that you had to have didn't mesh with my personality at all lol.

This. It's something you have to have naturally. I personally couldn't do it, but someone with a very extroverted personality, great speaking skills and uncanny persistence could thrive in sales.

Sales is basically tricking someone into buying something they don't really need. If they needed it you wouldn't have to sell it to them. If you get good it can turn you into a predator in and out of work. It fukks with your soul my g it depends whether you're about that life.

Im not much of a sales person at all but i got a mouth piece. That helps me a lot. At Dell my clients are calling me for shyt so its not as hard. Who doesn't want a Dell?

Honestly unless you really need this job or its something your passionate about, I would stay away from it
