Man I been happily married and live my 2 kids like hell. But people need to stop being concerned with people not having kids. I see people with kids that are toddlers cursing at them and saying shyt you say to a teen or older kid. It’s a responsible decision if you don’t want them otherwise you would be a bad parent if you didn’t want them. And a lot of people really do have hard times in relationships or more introverted and just don’t get out enough but do want children even though they in they 30s or whatever.


Some people just want more freedom. Just because me and you want a family around us don’t mean everybody need that every day. Broken homes is what’s bad for black people and our community. Ain’t nothing cool about a child not being able to have both parents physically present with them every day and not full time. Every other weekend or not everyday at all is harmful even if you think you the perfect parent. This is not a shot at my fathers on here. I know people get married and get divorced or you might want someone to stay with but they don’t want you. I'm 36. There isn't that much of an age gap between us. There isn't any way you haven't heard that, unless you are living under a rock or have no male friends or male relationships what so ever. Like I said not having kids by a certain age I haven't heard that, hearing 'there is a reason she made it to 30+ without marriage or a proposal' is a very common thing to hear.

I’ve heard if a woman hasn’t been in any relationship by 30 it’s a red flag and if a woman hasn’t been married or had kids by mid 30s it’s a red flag. I’m sure it also varies by location. Lol you think having kids prevents people from being in a perpetual state of childhood? Several of the most immature and emotionally arrested men and women I’ve interacted with have kids. Nobody is saying people shouldn’t have kids. But the problem is a large percentage of children in the Black community are born into dysfunctional circumstances. Primarily unmarried parents who are basically strangers and often lack the financial resources to adequately provide. Dudes are paying $200 a month in child support in 2025. That’s not enough to adequately provide.

Most of the arguements here are not pragmatic and focused on finances, career, and more arrested development. My point was simple. Not having a family is normally for a minority of people who have a calling that contributes to an entire community. This is not the case for the majority now who are SOLELY focused on the religion of money/career. Irresponsibly having children is not the point here either.

This is why I said both sides are partially right but this is how an agenda works well. Sprinkle some half decent reasoning into irresponsible actions. Both sides are using sound reasoning for irresponsible behavior. Both behaiors are irresponsible to the community, both are selfish, one just has no physical evidence and gives a false image of accomplishment.

Its simple... MARRY, be fruitful and multiply. Poverty is manufactured and too many are using it as an excuse NOT to marry and contribute to society. As they are too lazy and selfish to collectively team up with their community and find effective ways to combat the current financial climate and produce FUNCTIONAL FAMILIES.
