Yes Black people should work together to counter this, but the fact is an individual cannot do that alone. So it makes sense for most individuals to get economic stability before they start having children. A large percentage of people in prison were raised in poverty and/or by irresponsible parents who were emotionally arrested.

Only black American people say this. In every other culture, nobody thinks it’s weird to not have kids before marriage, regardless of age. It’s also looked down upon to have children out of wedlock, where as with FBA, we’ll have entire families where everyone has at least one kid out of wedlock, and it’s considered normal.
