you can go online to the three credit bureaus, which is three separate websites and dispute any collections you have. within like 30 days, they will make a decision and i believe if the people who listed the collection don't have the original paperwork, they have to remove it from your credit report. this will make your score go up when they remove it. also, if you have credit already, then try to use as little as you can and pay off what you owe on that. this is called credit utilization and the lower it is, the more it will make your score go up. also, you need to limit how many businesses are pulling your credit reports bc those can lower your score also. also, having more available credit can help your score, so if you can get your cc company to increase your credit limit or get another card or cards, that can make your score go up.
