Probably more kids than you would think know Santa isn't real and play along for the adults. I don't recall ever thinking he was real (probably didn't help that all our ornaments were black angels and black Santas
full
) but I knew it made my granny happy when she thought I thought he was real.
No lie, but about an hr ago, my wife told my youngest son(5), "be good, or santa wont bring you any gifts". He replied "SANTA ISNT REAL!!!" She was like "WHAT YOU SAY???!!!":usure:

He was like "nothing":leostare:

-I'm dying at people thinking you're taking away a child's innocence or childhood by not teaching them Santa. He's not needed to enjoy Christmas with your loved ones.

This is so sad. Why you wanna ruin your children's innocence?. I don't have kids but I firmly believe children should come to their own conclusions when and if they want to, and should never be 'told'. I mean people believe in all sorts of higher beings and make believe 'characters'. Santa Claus is like superheroes to them. Black Panther, Superman, Spiderman, Wonder Woman, Ironman, Batman, etc.

Why y’all super Internet militants keep talking about not telling your kids about a fat white man giving them presents. It’s just make believe. Santa is what ever color you want them to be. My 4 year old believes in Santa. I didn’t teach her to. If she over 7 and still believe, I’ll tell her. But cmon man; Kids find out on they own that Santa is not real. They go to something called school. You don’t have to teach that.

Yet most of y’all are grown adults still believing in a magical man and book consisting of men living in a whale, people being turned to stone, and mogherfukkers flying and shyt. But you will tell your kids that is real…That’s some fukked up shyt.

It’s make believe. Just relax. You don’t have to teach them about something that’s not real. But if they believe in it as a child, you don’t have to ruin it for them..You are only a child once.

Kids have imaginary friends n shyt, so of course they gonna think Santa is real. Just let them be kids until a certain age.

Ruining all the fun gonna fukk them up. Imagine telling a five year old "I gotta budget my bills, and got rent to pay, you ain't getting no presents this year because Santa not real and I am the one doing everything for you". :picard:

I was young when my mom told me Santa wasn't real. I didn't believe in Santa anyway, but I used to play along because I thought that's what she wanted.

So you could do what my sister and her husband do. Santa "brings" my nephew smaller gifts and stocking stuffers that, as he put it, "an elf would make." His parents [grandparents, aunts, and uncles] get him more expensive gifts. So Santa is involved, he eats the cookies and drinks the milk, but he isn't the only one gifting kiddo.

Edit: My wife's brother and his wife do something similar for their daughter (soon to be daughters). Last year her father, dressed as Santa, purposely got caught by his granddaughter and it made her day.
