People have been targeting S2000's for years for their seats. Just like any Honda, the parts are interchangeable so its usually Civic owners trying to get some. I know they started making seat locks to make sure people couldn't get them easily.
No. Most Americans can fit into those seats. It's when the side bolsters are narrow and high like a racing seat is when they have a problem. A fat dude (Yeah, I'm talking Popeye's fried chicken eating mother f*****) who worked at an emissions inspection station ruined my Corbeau seat, just the thigh bolster, the rest of the seat was fine. The side bolster is held up internally with a metal bracket. When he sat in it, I could hear something metal snap. Now, the thigh bolster wiggles. They didn't reimburse me. I should have sued. It's not a big deal though because I don't race.

Yea this was a huge issue around here with S2K seats, especially since their convertibles & easy for lowlifes to access by ripping the top,
OEM seats cost around $6-8k to replace from the dealer so in some cases the insurance would total the car out if its worth < $15k
I've seen it happen to a couple guys on the local Honda forums.
Whenever I'm at a local meet-up/show and I see rust-bucket hatchbacks or Integeras with leather S seats, I'm a lil suspicious ...
