I wanna know how many carts she was carrying.

Even in US states where weed is illegal like Ohio. You can get caught with 100 ounces and only face a year in prison.

10 years is crazy
it's Russia....and there are countries that will sentence you to death for "trafficking" (that's not what this is, the charges are trumped up, but you cant tell me she didn't know the risk) Mfs are looking for something else to rag on Biden for tho, like he's supposed to trade an arms dealer for her

This just isn’t true. The whole weed being illegal thing is so ridiculous. I can’t understand how anyone could agree with this whole situation. She wasn’t moving pounds of weed. She a had a weed vape, that’s not worth 20 years. And if that’s the rules of your country then your country is ridiculous. 90% of the things russsia does is ridiculous. The people that run that country are straight up evil villains. And you got people in here talking about “their country their rules” that’s clown talk
This is American privilege. You don't get to dictate another country's laws, or tell them what you will and won't adhere to. Yea we've got an amazing State Department that can get you out of many if not most jams but breaking the law and getting arrested overseas is no joke.

Nor is this victim blaming, as some claim. They've got harsher drug laws than us. Might want to keep that in mind before trying to sneak that shyt into the fukking airport.

Right and it's not Biden has the power to change Russia laws.

The only thing he can do is a prisoner exchange

It took what, 3 years to get that former marine out who was arrested after a bar fight? This isn't gonna be some walk in the park. We exchanged a Russian criminal for him. Russia wants that arms dealer guy and Biden has understandably refused. Hopefully they can agree on another swap. Most of that time was before the war. She might truly truly be fukked.

Lesson of the day. If you're in another country, peep their drug laws. Never sneak shyt in unless you know.

Who in here is saying that the treatment is fair though? Everyone would tell you that the punishment doesn't fit the crime, but again she committed it in another country and are bound by their laws regardless of whether you agree with them or not. We don't agree with a lot of the bs laws here in the US and it's no different than other countries. The difference is she didn't commit it in the US and doesn't have the support system on her side had she committed her instead of elsewhere.

It's why basic common sense tells you that different countries operate differently and to abide by the rules and regulations of said countries because it's only so much your home country will be able to do and help you.
People were saying it was fair because that’s their rules. I’m just saying just because something is a rule it doesn’t mean it’s fair, and I don’t have to agree with it. It’s bs, that’s all I’m saying. I don’t agree and I don’t think they should be able to hold anyone that long for something that small. shyt at one point we couldn’t share a bathroom with whites and it took someone saying fukk this rule for it to get changed. Ofcourse Russia won’t ever change but whatever. I’m done with this topic.

Ehhh that’s not entirely true considering the fact that Skylar Diggins Smith once used Harrison Barnes name and salary as why should be paid more.
paid more is not asking for NBA salaries, furthermore using one person's arrogant way to compare value to the team does not reflect the asks and negotiating of the union

She specifically used dudes name and salary as the basis of her argument. She also brought up his accolades in comparison to hers, so yes in her particular instance she was asking to get paid like NBA players because every player isn’t making $24 million a year like Barnes was at the time.

The Union is irrelevant to the point because I specifically referred to one player and not the league or union as a whole.

Again who is saying that it’s fair? Just because we say it’s their rules doesn’t mean that it’s fair. It’s a lot of rules here in the US that are bullshyt and even we’d tell you is unfair. The thing is you have to abide by another countries rules and regulations as they operate under different rules and circumstances.

It’s literally that simple.
