If youre logged into google while surfing the web youtube will cross reference those for add recommendations which you can turn off. Heres the thing though the videos you watch are also contextually related to your ads as well even if you turn off customized ads and cookies.

For example if you watch a comedians bit about hemrhoids, maga shyt or AIDS meds best believe youtube hears that and will feed you more of that in the form of more videos or ads.

for those of u, who don't have premium, I HIGHLY recommend ublock origin lite along with sponsor block. sponsor block will automatically skip the sponsors that a lot of creators put in their videos automatically. it's pretty dope.
