I’d not have known about this without you posting. Daps and rep. Ev teases that he was producing a full album for someone this fall and people thought it might be Krondon. I guess it was Ali.

About to dive in.

Loving it so far.
I want to make a separate post about Ali, but regarding Ev he keeps reminding me that he’s a name you can trust.

He said he’s producing the bulk of his next solo album and I was a little bit :ld: but this gives me a lot of confidence it’ll be dope. He keeps stepping it up on the beats.

Was about to make this thread simply cause it was a new album that dropped. Haven’t listened to him since 09, but based on the first few tracks, he ain’t lost a step. Really good listen so far both lyrically and production wise.

Same here. See I'm also not really on social media so The Booth is where I find most of my new hip-hop. So I'm glad I saw this thread or it might've been a little while before I caught this.

2009 is very specific BTW. What happened in 2009? Did he drop a dud? I'm not overly familiar with his career, except for Shadows of the Sun (I think that was the title?) I liked that album a lot and then I liked the one that Jake One produced. I've never been over the moon with Ali as an emcee but I've always thought he was very good and picked a lot of good production. Sometimes he comes off a bit preachy IMO so I don't go out of my way to listen, but I never regret it when I do.

I think I had just fallen out of backpack/underground rap for awhile. I pretty much only remember that “Best @ It” song (which was great). Kinda makes me want to back track stuff I missed from him
