Great interview. Never listened to Polight before.

But what kills me is when shows like the Breakfast Club has these guests on with alot of shyt to say, but there's no back in forth. There's no conversation. They ask people with so much knowledge some basic ass questions and let them ramble. It's almost like the interviewers just wing the shyt.

:whew: Brother Polight was dropping gems, this gotta be one of the best interviews they give. That Marc Lamont Hill interview was good as well.

Ehhh started off good but I've heard a lot of these talking points he's saying and it's a bit repetitive.
But I understand to those who haven't heard him, it may sound :feedme:.

Breh, the Breakfast Club hosts aren't intelligent enough for intelligent back and forth. I mean, just listen to Envy. Charlemagne is doing less c00ning lately but still. I'm just happy they're giving these type brothers a platform.

good to see stuff like this.

he made a powerful point in regards to languages. transverses & morphemes (even though he didnt mention it by name)

and he made mention within another interview w/ sa neter. He didnt addressed cause he was getting hit with so many questions. "transitivity." It is because of this process that we know that looks can be deceiving and why linguists do not do surface comparisons and must look for sound-meaning correspondences and sound laws to establish relationships (I know Polight knows though he isnt no lightweight). This is how we know Zande, for example, is closer to M-E than Coptic. It also demonstrates how Zande vocabulary may "look" different on the surface, but in facts preserves the very elements and history that establishes a relationship to Middle-Egyptian. I lowkey want to make a thread in regards to the African language factor.(Hausa, Wolof etc)..idk maybe i will

this brother is an inspiration. He was dropping so many gems. The brother is an obvious scholar - observe how he manages to connect and relate so many different branches / aspects of knowledge to make his point effortlessly...straight from the dome!

Great interview. However like another poster said, there could have been more exchange between the interviewers rather than just letting him ramble.

(oh btw Polight crushed Umar Johnsons interview)
