Damn brehs. i was expectin alot from these 2 cats this yearr and i aint even a Browns fan like that. Didnt Dion Lewis break his leg at Pitt? I hope him and Mingo bounce back.
The Browns escaped their preseason opener without any major injuries.
The same could not be said for game No. 2 as a total of 5 players departed and did not return.
Running back Dion Lewis sustained a broken fibula and rookie linebacker Barkevious Mingo remained hospitalized overnight with a bruised lung following the Browns’ 24-6 win over the Detroit Lions

“It was a tough night from an injury perspective,” head coach Rob Chudzinski said. “That’s the game. Guys get injured and other guys get opportunities and have to step up.”
Mingo, who was injured in the first half, was taken to the Cleveland Clinic where he is being held for precautionary reasons a team spokesman said. Chudzinski wasn’t sure how Mingo got hurt.
Right guard Jason Pinkston left in the first quarter due to an ankle injury after left guard John Greco was pushed into him from behind by Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley.
“That’s what happened, it’s unfortunate,” Greco said. “I feel for him obviously. You don’t to be responsible for one of your own guys going down. I just wish the best for him and hope for a speedy recovery.”
Chudzinski said that x-rays were negative but Pinkston was on crutches and in a walking boot as he left the stadium.
With Pinkston down and Shawn Lauvao still out with an ankle injury, rookie Garrett Gilkey was pressed into service.
“They’re unfortunate,” quarterback

The injury to Lewis, who was carted off to the locker room after being helped to the sideline by trainers in the 3rd quarter, came on the same day that fellow back Montario Hardesty underwent arthroscopic knee surgery.
Lewis was having a tremendous camp and the loss of him – potentially for the season – could be significant.
“He’s a big part of the offense, he’s a big part of the team,” running back Trent Richardson, who ran for 33 yards on 6 carries, said. “With his 3 years in the NFL

“I don’t know if we’re going to lose him for the season but if we do, it’s just a lot of opportunity for guys.”
Tight end Gary Barnidge sustained a sprained shoulder and a groin injury sidelined kicker Brandon Bogotay in the 4th quarter.
Bogotay, who was supposed to handle the kicking duties for the entire game, said that he felt a “tingle” in his groin and trainers decided to shut him down but he doesn’t expect to miss time – at least he hopes not.
“I better be ready for the next game,” Bogotay said. “I think I will be.”
