They will teach you what you can and what you can't deducted on your Schedule C, how to determine your % and what not. It will be up to you to apply the information to the cost relative to your business. The course is about tax preparation not about home based businesses.

if you wanna reduce the amount of taxes taken from your check legally, you can reduce your taxable income by doing more pre-tax deductions such as sending more money to your retirement plan (if you have this option)
