I'm attending a family reunion in Tulsa and I have no idea about what to do in the city(I only fukk with Dallas because my dad's brothers are there.... Supreme irony is that I live in Oklahoma). For sure, I know I'll be visiting Greenwood District AKA OG Black Wall Street, but what else is there to do besides casinos?(which I don't fukk with)

I need to know.....

Places to shop
Things to do for minors (teens)
Black clubs
Anything else that would be of interest to a black person visiting

When will you be in town?

You can go to ambassadors lounge on Fridays and Saturday's. I'm usually there.
Its 21 and up though.

For kids and Adults, you can go by Riverside and 71st and go to Flying Tee. Its basically Tulsa's version of Topgolf.

Warren Theater in Broken Arrow is the single best theater I've been to. Everyone there dresses and acts like its 1920. Its a little corny but I enjoyed it. The actual movie theater though... wow. Its about 15 mins from Tulsa.

They have alot of gun ranges and go-kart racing, but you will be the only black person there, trust me.

I could show you around, but dont expect much. People only come to Oklahoma to sell meth and gamble.

Queens/NYC
Interesting how some of these areas in the midwest have more Black culture, attractions and monuments than places with the most Black people on the East Coast such as NYC, Philly, ATL, Newark etc.

The soul of our people can be felt in some of these regions more palatable than even Harlem at this point. Probably related to the fact that NYC doesn't have a soul anymore period...

I'll be in Dallas this weekend, but yeah all those things I mentioned are good things.

Ambassadors is AA on friday, but its more of a Caribbean/African club on sat and Sunday.

There are some black clubs downtown but they are for 21-25 year olds.

I'm 28 so I cant chill, but if you like that scene, go to the Electric Circus.

Bro, next time I'm in Tulsa I'll holler at you. I usually go once a year. My mom grew up there. I usually just play soccer on one of the many football fields or holler at girls until it gets too dark. I'm from cali, and I stick out like a sore thumb out there.

You do dress like a cali nikka. Lol you really do. Specifically an LA cat or a west Oakland resident. That's a good thing. Tulsa is weird man. I swear where my family stays is like a bunch of white people. It's kind of scary, they act nice to me, but I feel like they think I'm hella weird.

My family owns a bunch of land out there. I don't know the city well enough, lol it all looks the same to me. My bad. It's hella flat.

My mom told me there's two sides to Tulsa the white side and the black side. I think my family owns land on the white side. Whenever I go the only black people I see are related to me. No cops ever though, that's a plus.

I usually drive around until I find a school or football field. I got family in Langston and Tulsa. fukk Langston though, they don't even have all the roads paved.

Oklahoma City is alright. Seems like it's cracking near campus. The girls are so easy to talk to. I was eating down there.

Preciate it, i'll take that as a compliment. :smugdraper:

I need to play soccer with you breh, that's my sport. I played basketball and football more but soccer has always been my sport.

Yeah its flat, no elevation, tons of tornados, woat landscsape.
Girls are probably the easiest thing about Tulsa. They are very easily impressed by a decent car and fitting clothes :mjlol:

I've only been to OKC on business, but I plan to go a few games this year, to watch Russell earn that mvp :ehh:

Between what they'll have going on at the reunion and what I got planned we should be good on activities.

Friday will be heading to the Riverwalk...... Shopping for the most part. I think our Reunion has a formal party on opening night.... lame... but afterwards, Ambassador Lounge.

Saturday will be the tour of the Greenwood District. The reunion cookout will be jumping off too. I think we'll eat then head that way. Night cap.... I may try to find a grown folks bar. I might just hang out at the Hard Rock Lounge & Casino.

Sunday... I'm not sure what's happening with the reunion..... Best case scenario, I'm on my way back home by checkout time.

Hotel is Wyndham on the southeast side. It seems ok, but pics can be deceiving.... I guess I can't complain.... from the pics, I'll have a big ass king size bed, flat screen..... plus the complementary breakfast buffet.

The only soccer area in the south is Texas. Them Texas boys can ball. I grew up playing soccer in California. It's practically the sport of the state. I've played in every major league in the Bay Area. Ive never played with anyone in OK. I go out by myself and train.

If you can play basketball and football you're already a good soccer player.

Soccer is easy, only thing you need to learn is how to win a game. Work on foot work like a point guard, changing speed, acceleration, and most importantly ball control. How fast you are without the ball doesn't mean much. If you want good ball control fast. You should go running with your ball. You should be getting one hundred touches on the ball a day. If you have a good first touch, which requires knowing what you want to do with the ball, you'll be a great teammate.

Don't worry about juggling. You'll never use that in a real game. Step overs. Shoulder dips. Body faints. Ball rolls. And cheating. Lol for real breh. You should always be in an offsides position. Hahaha. Push off of your defender and pull on attacking players only from the waist down. The refs don't see that shyt.

The pick and roll. And pick and pop kill in soccer. That's all FCB does with Messi. Two players can beat an entire team. There are videos of pros going 2 on 25 or 2 on 50 and the other team doesn't even touch the ball.

Sorry to say so much. I love soccer man. I tried to go pro as a player and a trainer. I still might pursue being a trainer and dietitian for it.

Also, play hella FIFA. FIFA can teach you so much about the flow of the game and how to break the field into sections and control those sections.

A straight pass is actually harder to make than a diagonal pass. Triangles are a great shape on defense and offense. Formation is everything. Create angles for passing and avenues to slash into like a wing player in basketball.

Oh I know know breh, I've been playing soccer since I was 5. I played for Charlotte United when I was living in NC. I remember going from School Soccer practice to Premier practice.... dead tired but still stuck with it.
I wanted to play club at Vandy but I just didn't have the time, and I had to build so much muscle for football that I felt heavy, wasn't good soccer form.

I played left wing and left forward for the majority of my life.

Soccer is the GOAT sport :ohlawd:

When I was in San Diego this past week, everybody was kicking a ball around on the few grassy areas they had. Made me feel so good inside :mjcry:

I wish I could be there tomorrow to chill with ya'll at Ambassadors. Btw ambassadors is small, but really chill. The big clubs are downtown, like Electric Circus.

How old are you? The ambassadors scene is good for 27+
