Would much rather take a shot at Manny Machado when he comes up for FA in 2019.
Left handed power is a bit overrated at Yankee Stadium so I'm not too interested in Harper. Plus he's kind of a dikk.

Machado's contact and power from the right side...especially the way he can crush balls to the gaps would be huge for NYY.
And he's a plus defender.
Give him 10 years, 330M with an opt-out after 3 years (when Machado turns 30)

Only if he can stay healthy and continue to hit.
Adam Dunn had high walk rates and lots of power but eventually it got to the point where nobody cared because he was hitting .220.

Machado isn't walking 100 times a year, but he's above average (currently 11th in OBP). And should OPS in the high 800s/low 900s as he enters his prime.
I'll gladly take that.
