Trapsoul is easily the best RnB-ish album I've heard since Nostalgia Ultra. Some of the production is stunning. "Been That Way" is among the best of the bunch.
There's one thing in this song that is absolutely genius to me. It's a tiny thing. @3:14. I don't know to describe it, but it's as though you're listening to a song and your computer crashes. Hovers on that one note until you restart. Anyway, that hanging on that note fits perfectly in the song and is the perfect way to conclude the song.
