you know how many squads are thinking "maybe we should tank for Wiggins?"

Real talk we may be looking at one of the worst upcoming NBA seasons ever the way teams are being suggested to throw in the towel.

why not?
the only way you are winning in the nba is with a star, and you'd basically control wiggins for the next 7 years even if you are in a small crappy market.

i wish my raps would get rid of anything of value and tank, instead of being a perennial 7th or 8th seed.

So this contract would basically be an upgrade with him making 12 a year when the other one was at 11 mil a year. If they bring Monta back does that mean they part ways with Jennings? Considering he's younger and they drafted him I doubt that. But they need to do something cuz with them in the backcourt together they are probably a 7th seed at best. They should let one of them go, re-sign Reddikk and continue to develop John Henson and Larry Sanders.

Not sure how much cap room teams like Sacramento and Milwaukee have but since they never sign good FA's why not just take on bad deals from teams looking to cut cap (Bargnani, Boozer, Gasol etc) and get additional draft picks. That's the best chance they'll ever have at being competitive.

Because you're really just paying more money to NOT be competitive. The picks that come with it (if any) wind up not even being worth it.

I mean I'm not talking about Miami's future firsts. Each of the teams I listed could have valuable future 1st's (Charlotte's in the case of the Bulls) and I'd rather have Boozer for 2 years then say Josh Smith for 5.

Because you claim they're not gonna be able to lure big names, a guy like Josh Smith who is very talented is about as big of a star as they could aspire to get, so if you won't go after that kind of star, you won't go after anyone. Some teams look at it that way and then get ripped by their fans for not trying. Other teams do try to get whatever they can and get ripped for being stuck in no man's land.

You're better off not signing anyone, trying to sign less expensive players that can be productive and try to buy picks in the draft if there are any sellers.

I totally agree. This 13-14 NBA Season may be very bad. You have big market teams like the Mavs who just pretty much tanked this past season to clear space and land a big name free agent. There is no chance a team like the Bucks can compete with big market teams unless they get the lottery pick. The new NBA cap is fukking up the teams.

The Bucks should keep Monta, get a PG that's pass first score second, and add some inside scoring

Not sure why Monta gets so much hate. He's a scorer but he's efficient, he's a better passer/playmaker than he's given credit for and he helped get the Bucks back in the playoffs.

You pair him with another shoot first PG it's not gonna work though
