I think he Could be an OLB in a 4-3, or a Tampa 2. But yeah he's not an edge rusher.

Strong vs. Montgomery.. I think part of the problem goes back to the offenses, like I said. ASU is a spread, hurry up, throw the ball while Stanford is slow, plodding, run first. I like Montgomery a lot and I think he will rise big at the combine. He's a better athlete than any of the top WR's in this draft. He's just not as refined with his technique, despite the fact that he plays in a pro style offense, he hasn't really gotten pro style coaching, but I think scouts will fall in love with his speed and athleticism.
he would be a good tampa 2 LB.

I agree offense play apart. But i dont think Stanford has done a good job developing him. They pretty much use him as RB/vertical/or slant WR. You work think in a pro style offense that his route running would be alot better. But he doesnt run a lot of routes pretty much the go route or slant & take it to the house. Strong is still raw too tho. There is no doubt when Ty goes to the combine he is going to kill it. He is athletic as hell & fast as hell. I just dont know if he is a WR you can put in as a start day 1. I think he would the type of WR you bring in on certain plays. Maybe ive soured a little on Ty & gone more of fan of Strong. I mean Strong & Foster have been the reason ASU is where they are. Strong has been a stud for ASU.

Im surprised to dont have Foster as one of your top RBs. Foster & Byron Marshall are my sleepers for the draft. They are that Percy Harvin/DeAnthony Thomas type of players.
Doubtful the Raiders are looking for a QB so they may not be able to...
The Raiders just drafted Carr tho. :dwillhuh: They need a WR I could see the Raiders getting a White or Amari Cooper.

You don't think they are gonna give Carr another year?

My bad that came off incorrectly...point was I think the Raiders like Carr. Its tougher to trade the first pick when teams know you wont be selecting a QB.

You are right they didn't do a good job with Montgomery.. but imagine if he had gone to Oregon? I think he fits a Chip Kelly offense better, and I think going to the Eagles that Chip would immediately know what to do with him. The more I sit here and think about it I really think the pick makes more and more sense for the Eagles :ehh:

Which Foster are you talking about? I like Marshall, but I don't see him as an every down back, could be a nice weapon though, but he ain't anywhere near DAT's level.

Honestly Ty might be nice in our offense. Him in space. :whew:

Dj Foster out of ASU. I think Byron can be a every down back. I think he is close to DAT, simply because he is a better pass catcher at this point. Also because he is more of a between the tackle & physical runner. Marshall low key got speed too. DAT looks like he runs fast & has those nasty cuts but Marshall got some shake to him.

DJ Foster is legit. I like him a lot.. I don't think he's on a DAT/Percy Harvin level of athleticism though. I think if you get him in the right situation he can have a Shane Vereen type of impact. I don't have him in my top 5 because I have those guys slotted as potential every down workhorse backs but I'm high on Foster.

Marshall got skills too, don't get me wrong. I personally don't see him on DAT's level, which is why I think he kind of took a backseat to DAT, but he can definitely be a player in the NFL. Again, I think it depends where he ends up. He can be a threat as a "offensive weapon" lining up at different spots on the field. Athletically I think he's way superior to Foster and he has great straight line speed.

Ehh, Rams got a heist and everyone knew they weren't going QB. It's more about teams directly behind the Raiders wanting a QB . Presuming we get the #1 pick, I'd like to see the Raiders trade back to the 3-5 position and scoop up Leonard Williams.

shouts to @3Rivers for the smilie

Im starting to think Safeties and CB's are not first round picks anymore. They all suck except maybe 1 or 2 over the last years

I agree, but with how pass happy the NFL is I think you are going to see teams continue to stack up on them. I like this crop of CB's though.. I don't think there's any elite shutdown player there, but they are all really good.
