In 2018, I would rather pick up a 3 to 4 year old BMW that has a good rating from Consumer Reports. You never know what bugs have been worked out or not. BMW made it an annual design event of building 5-series with electrical bugs year after year in the 2000s.
Mercedes-Benz made tons of SLK coupes that were straight up trash, but they looked nice on the outside though.

That's a lot of dough for an "upscaled Boxster"/"toned-down 911". It's status....The base 911 and the Cayman S share a 3.4-liter flat-six, though the mid-engined model’s is detuned to 325 horsepower from 350. Torque is down, too, from 287 pound-feet in the Carrera to 272 here...

The Cayman looks good. But under the hood, it's okay, not amazing. So I would rather buy a used Porsche 911 for less money and bigger balls.

911 is a beast and everyone knows but why are we talking about buying used when we're looking at a new vehicle?
I don't think a 911 car buyer is even thinking about an M4 as a option. A Cayman is different story.

Yall acting like this isn't a real option at this price range. Its pretty obvious from other threads yall value power and engines but its more to a car than that. Acting like the Cayman is not a dope vehicle is crazy.
First off, this is the Coli. You are going to have some whacked out opinions about the Cayman, like from me.
I'm not rich, medium rich, or partially rich. I'm more likely to buy a used Toyota Yaris than a Cayman because that's what I can afford. With that said, if I had $75,000+ to buy a car, I would not buy an M4. I'd spend like $30,000 on a used BMW M3 and spend $10,000 to tune and modify that. The other $35,000 would be used to for things like a used GSXR 750, courtside tickets to an NBA game, and a trip to Hawaii among some things.
