Dwyane Wade Reportedly 'Assured' Bulls Would Be Competitive Before Opting in

Bulls fans are not surprised

Dwyane Wade's relationship with the Chicago Bulls may be on thin ice. According to HoopsHype's Alex Kennedy on Wednesday, Wade reportedly has grown frustrated with Bulls brass because he received "assurances from the front office that it would field a competitive team" before he opted into his $23.8 million player option for the 2017-18 season. Wade made the call to see out his tenure in the Windy City on June 20. Two days later, on draft night, the Bulls shipped Jimmy Butler to the Minnesota Timberwolves in a move that signaled they were clearly rebuilding. Now, Kennedy reports it would be an "understatement" to say Wade's relationship with the front office is "strained." Kennedy added Wade

If I'm not mistaken he still had time to formally decide on opting in/out after the Butler trade

Either way he finessed those suckers out of 47 mil :myman: :vicewade:

Its fukk GarPax but this story doesn't make sense. He could have not signed still before the deadline and there are literally zero benefits to having Wade back this season, his salary being #1

The story is that this was Wade's way of putting pressure on Bulls to keep Jimmy and not rebuild. He thought his paycheck was enough to bluff them into not blowing it up

well that failed miserably. What's your thoughts on a timeline for the buyout?

I really can't say, he doesn't wanna be there and they don't want him there though. So with that, just do it before the season and move on as amicably as possible now. Both are stubborn though and want the other side to make the bigger concession

The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
Can't knock him for trying, but if this ain't the most obviously planted story by a player ever :dead:

Guess he trying to get that buyout sooner rather than later.

Yeah exactly, Wade is a bytch, if he wasn't smart enough to see the writing on the wall then that's on his dumbass

He shouldn't get a penny of that money if he don't play a game for them

They put a competitive team together. They will compete for the #1 pick.

No lies were told.

Why he gotta be a bytch:why: He's just trying to leverage his way into what he wants. Teams do this as well.

Bulls' fans should be happy right now. yall have some young talent in Lavine, Dunn, and Lauri. plus ya'll should be "bad enough" to get right back into the lottery. if yall get a top 3 pick next draft, the future looks good in chi-town. plus yall will have cap space.
