Ghana losing is easily better for the US, but I don't know if the money-hungry bonus-seekers will be motivated enough to beat Portugal if they're out. If they lose to Germany they'll probably start with the in-fighting BAE style and probably lose 0-5 to Portugal.

And since we either need Ghana to put up a fight if we don't win, who knows
