From a house of ill repute to the Nevada State Senate.
That’s the dream of Dennis Hof, owner of the Bunny Ranch brothel where Lamar Odom passed out from a drug overdose.
Hof, 69, announced his candidacy Friday and said he would run as a Libertarian.
His decision was something of a comedown from loftier ambitions. The brothel kingpin had launched an exploratory committee in July hoping to unseat Sen. Harry Reid. Hof ultimately backed away, fearing he would ‘whore’ himself out to special interest groups.
“I thought the big get-even would be me to run for Senate and take his seat,” said Hoff, who briefly spoke of the campaign during a live stream Saturday from the Bunny Ranch.
But that race would not work out, Hof said alongside two brothel employees.
“It’s going to be interesting,” Hof added. “These career politicians in appointed positions by the governor ... they all suck, they're all losers.”
