At some point, Id rather live the good life overseas than commit to the grind of the G League, regional airports, buses and small gyms, year after year.

Eh, too many American based hoopers have shared their overseas horror stories to romanticize it as just the good life. Players not getting paid on time, not getting paid altogether, having their contracts terminated on a whim, international coaches tripping and acting like dictators, and experiences with racist Euros, shyt happens often.

If he struggling against college kids why would he be better against professionals

Pro basketball stylistically is way more similar to a high school game than a college one. For a lot of kids they’re better off just going from HS to the pros.

The competition part is right though.

Basketball is just a tall man's game.
I'm 6 1 and playing against even someone 2 inches on me who is in similar shape is a problem. I remember playing 1v1 against a 6 6 nikka who played center professionally. We were not playing the same sport. Nikka had that busted ass mechanics slow shot that was money from inside the 3 point line.
And he never even tried his shoe laces.
I got hot and i was up 3 and game point. He just took me down in post and spun on me til he won

Facts.

That's why I say soccer, football and baseball are the hardest sports and hoops is the easiest.

Soccer - talent pool is hella deep

Football - gotta be a freaky athlete for a non QB/P/K

Baseball - accurately throwing a baseball 90+ mph or hitting a baseball is insanely difficult

Hoops - just being really tall can significantly increase your chances of sticking in the league. Get over 6'9"+ and you can have a whole damn career as a bum. Other sports, you gotta have some elite physical/mental traits, even as a bum.
