Swizz was really dope during his run.

Funny thing is, after he blew, mad producers started trying to make tracks like he was making. I was in the studio the first time I heard "Money, Cash, Hoes", and I remember sitting there thinking "This is different." I still love that beat. Dude basically created his own lane and sound and stayed in it. "Banned From TV", "fukk You", "Some X shyt", "Blackout", etc. Dude put in a lot of work in like a 3-4 year period that was crazy.

He changed production right when dudes were sampling straight loops and watering down beats with popular 70's and 80's shyt. He kinda came out of nowhere and did some left-field weird pad-hopping shyt on the MPC that no one had ever done at the time. I've been mad critical of him at times, but his run was undeniable. He really ran shyt for a hot minute by just being creative and doing his own thing.

I was talking to somebody the other day when DMX passed about how I've never known a producer who was only able to mal elite beats for one person.

But that isn’t Swizz so who u talkin bout? He got mad beats for other people that’s fire. I guess u didn’t like shyt like Touch It or Bring Em Out, Jigga My nikka, Banned From TV. etc etc and the list goes on.

Man, I can't stand Swizz casio beats. When X dropped IDAHIH, they were tough cuz it was new. After maybe 3-4 years, the new car smell wore off and them shyts stank. He drop some dope shyt every now and then, but its usually when he's sampling. I can listen to a lot of his sampling joints, but when he goes to Super Swizzy mode, I can't do it.
