the ether
Man, I'd been hearing all these people saying that Wuhan wasn't even on some deep lockdown for very long and the factories have all reopened and they're doing just fine. Reading this morning and that was mad bullshyt.

Here are the do's and don'ts for going outside under the different lockdown or shelter-in-place restrictions as countries across the world battle the coronavirus
The city was placed under a lockdown on January 23, ordering the city's 11 million residents to stay confined in their homes as Business Insider's Bill Bostock reported.

Only one person from each household can venture outside every three days to gather essentials, like food and medical supplies. Food and medicine is delivered to homes in some cases, and armed police officers patrol the streets to ensure compliance

The city is nearing the end of its lockdown period, but some locals and health experts are skeptical that the virus is contained. There are fears of a "boomerang effect," with the virus exhibiting a resugence once residencts aren't confined to their homes any longer.

They're spending TEN WEEKS on absolute lockdown with police rolling through the streets to force compliance. I ain't suggesting we go to that level, but anyone trying to downplay what they did to control that shyt in China better wise up.

China is lying because their manufacturing dominance literally lies in balance.

How do I know, I work for a manufacturing company that I'm 100% positive you have in your house right now, that has significant operations in Asia and it has been speculated whether or not we ramp back up to the previous levels of production.

There's literally tens of trillions of dollars at stake. I would lie too.

Be more specific about what you think they're lying about - I think I read you but other folk might read that statement different ways.

Without identifying my company or my role, let's say I'm in a significant logistics capacity domestically with some international dealings. Obviously, commerce is based on trade and international business. If my company which is based in the US can't come to China/Asia to conduct business, how can significant commerce continue in China? If 40-50% of our operations are based there and every leap year a new virus is popping up, we can't continue to have tens of millions of dollars tied up in a country that can't produce anything for significant periods of time.

t-dot till they bury me
They are lieing about:

Virus origin
Severity of cases (infected, dead, cured)
Current level of containment

I would arbitrarily multiply their numbers by 5 as a safe hypothesis

They have to present to the world that they are in control of it, and have measures to rectify.

Any vulnerability from a manufacturing operations and infrastructure perspective means less dependancy on them, thus, less of a need for them

I already know your company and your situation by reading this post.
