Dead day at work so got my iTunes on random and the classic by Eazy E -Real Mutherfukker G's comes on. (Forgot how much this bangs, cant wait to put in the car)

"Damn E, they tried to fade you on Dre Day
But Dre Day only meant Eazy's payday"

Looked this up on Rap Genius and this is what is said -

Dre’s diss track fukk Wit Dre Day alluded to. Dre’s successes in the past ended up benefitting Eazy by means of exposure as well as literal monetary compensation: the group N.W.A, for which Dre claims much of the credit for success, was actually on Ruthless Records: Eazy-E’s label.

Supposedly, when Suge Knight, CEO of Death Row Records, asked Eazy to sign over Dre to the Death Row label, Eazy refused. Eazy and his manager Jerry Heller sued Knight for using muscle and intimidation in business practices, claiming Knight and his henchmen threatened them with lead pipes and baseball bats.

Eazy, being the gangster he is, did not sign over Dre and D.O.C.’s contract under the threat of violence. He did, however, when Knight produced a photo of Eazy-E’s mother’s house.

The bit in bold, is that true ?? If so I never knew that.

Yeah it's true from what I've read over the years. Eazy then took it to court because Dre was signed as an exclusive producer for Ruthless so E won and got money from everything Dre was involved in at Death Row

"Take a good look at the, nikka and you capture, the fact that the b*stard, is simply just an actor" :whoo:
"I never met an OG who never did shyt wrong" :dead:
"And at death row I hear you getting treated like bootcamp" :leon:

Might be the GOAT diss song and it fathered pretty much every diss after. Studio gangstas, exposing people's past (summer jam screen), exposing contracts/business shyt,

He signed over the papers when Suge showed him his mom's house. But since that wasn't legally binding, it didn't matter.

Eazy E was going to have Suge Knight killed, but Jerry Heller talked him out of it. They talked about this on the NWA special on VH1.

I respect a dude slightly less if they're of a certain age (approx. 27-33) and can't spit this verse on the spot verbatim...i used to wait till Knoccout's verse came and get hype as sh!t :pachaha:

Other things along those same lines:

If you can't name at least 4 of the things Mystikal categorically states that he IS NOT on Hot Boys and Girls...we can only be, but so cool...that puts an automatic ceiling on your thoro-ness

Man. Death Row would've never happened. I don't know if rap would be better or worse. Pac might still be alive, Snoop might've never been a huge star, no Chronic, probably no Bone Thugs
