"Damn E, they tried to fade you on Dre Day
But Dre Day only meant Eazy's payday"
Looked this up on Rap Genius and this is what is said -
The bit in bold, is that true ?? If so I never knew that.

Dre’s diss track fukk Wit Dre Day alluded to. Dre’s successes in the past ended up benefitting Eazy by means of exposure as well as literal monetary compensation: the group N.W.A, for which Dre claims much of the credit for success, was actually on Ruthless Records: Eazy-E’s label.
Supposedly, when Suge Knight, CEO of Death Row Records, asked Eazy to sign over Dre to the Death Row label, Eazy refused. Eazy and his manager Jerry Heller sued Knight for using muscle and intimidation in business practices, claiming Knight and his henchmen threatened them with lead pipes and baseball bats.
Eazy, being the gangster he is, did not sign over Dre and D.O.C.’s contract under the threat of violence. He did, however, when Knight produced a photo of Eazy-E’s mother’s house.
