Its nice but not everyone live by an Microcenter. The OP's tv is nice he should get it.
Not to mention the last time I was trying to buy a HDTV (2010), the black levels on LG HDTVs are usually GARBAGE compared to a Sony, Samsung, or Toshiba HDTV.

I was In the store and it's cheaper then the Samsung, sharps, and lg tvs...plus it had wifi built in...I also don't really value 3d....I just don't want to over spend...but I also want a quality product.

I believe costco sells samsung smart tv's for about the same price. I would definitely check there if you have access to a membership.

Honestly picking a price and going I'm spending X amount is the worst way to buy a TV.

What's the input lag?
How many HDMI ports do you need and do they support ARC?
Does the TV passthrough 5.1 surround sound from the optical port?
Does the TV have Chroma 4:4:4?
How good are the black levels?
Is the panel really 120Hz / 240Hz or does it use backlight tricks to get that effect then false advertise itself as such?
What type of panel does it have and how are the viewing angles?
Does the model have widespread known screen uniformity issues?
Wireless display tech (Intel WiDi) built in and or screen mirroring from a cell phone?

there are just a lot of questions one could ask before buying a TV. price should play a role but shouldn't be the deciding factor alone. if you find a TV with all the features you want (even the unadvertised ones like optical 5.1 passthrough or very low input lag) and it cost a bit more it might be better to save the extra on such a high ticket item. one thing i didn't forsee is if you hook a game console up to an AV system it adds input lag to the input lag your TV already has. if your TV doesn't pass 5.1 surround sound through optical then if you want 5.1 you have to take the input lag hit. if it does pass 5.1 through you can plug the game console up direct to the TV then use optical to get 5.1 through an AV receiver.

I'm gonna go ahead and say with any LED TV you're almost guaranteed to have some screen uniformity issues. the tech has these issues inherent to it and there's no getting around it. the question is are you willing to accept the problems your TV has? you're gonna probably wanna download an image at 1080p of just a solid black image to expose the backlight and clouding issues of the TV then of other colors to expose any dead pixels.

This is clouding
HDTV_25.jpg

during dark scenes in movies and games this can become very apparent and annoying the screen is supposed to be totally black here but there are uneven hotspots in it. on some tvs they can get pretty bright

that's backlight bleeding
HDTV_26.jpg

its visable across the edges the backlight is leaking into the picture. its pretty minor there.

That's flashlighting
IMG_1044.jpg

it looks like little tiny flashlights in the corners of the screen shining out into it at angles. pretty minor there and mostly only visible at the top

this is banding

the lines going through the screen

Brehs. So I got the tv now and it honestly isn't that much of an upgrade over my 2010 LG Plasma tv...Now I know I should config/calibrate it but ain't to much on the internet about it. I think I should of did some more research.

What's the input lag? I checked on the display lag site and it says it's average/ok
How many HDMI ports do you need and do they support ARC? there are 4 HDMI ports.
Does the TV passthrough 5.1 surround sound from the optical port? Yes.
Does the TV have Chroma 4:4:4? I don't even know.
How good are the black levels? The display sites says this model has superior black levels.
Is the panel really 120Hz / 240Hz or does it use backlight tricks to get that effect then false advertise itself as such? It does have backlight tricks.
What type of panel does it have and how are the viewing angles?

A plasma is a better TV than an LED. Sure plasmas can get burn-in but if yours was from 2010 it was probably beyond that because it had been broken in already.

this is one of the major reasons Plasma tvs are better than LED

when they show that plasma with a black screen it blends into the darkness.

going from a plasma to an LED is still a downgrade.
