I have had cops/security guards grab me before. Its hard to fight the instinct to defend yourself... I bet he just felt scared and powerless and lashed out..
I know if I would have fought the people that grabbed me it would have ended real bad.. all over some mistaken identity.. they would have beat me down and put me in cuffs.
