C-Murderhad a rare taste of freedom this afternoon. The incarcerated rapper was allowed to leave the Angola State Penitentiary to attend the funeral of a close relative, possibly his grandmother. C-Murder posed for a picture with his nephewRomeoat the funeral, which was then shared on Instagram.

From the picture, it appears that C-Murder is healthy, but it's obvious that he has very little freedom in his current state. He is shown shackled at the waist and clad in an orange prison jumpsuit. Romeo's caption reads:

Being able to just sit & have a conversation w/my uncle @iamcmurder was a blessing. We gonna get you home Uncle C! Love ya #bestmoment #ripbigmamma #freeC #freeC #freeC #freeC #freeC #freeC #freeC
Also present at the funeral was C-Murder's brother (and Romeo's father),Master P. He too appeared in another picture shared by Romeo on Instagram.

C-Murder has been serving a life sentence since being convicted of second degree murder charges in 2009. The Louisiana native allegedly shot and killed a teenage fan at a nightclub at a Harvey, Louisiana nightclub. C-Murder continues to proclaim his innocence in this case.

That pic Makes you value your freedom for real

I remember when my great grandma died. During the funeral the church door opened & it was my older brother in a orange jumpsuit with shackles & guards. It was one of the most demoralizing things I ever seen. It doesn't matter if the people serving time are guilty or not. I don't see how prison can't make you bitter. And if you don't have a super support system in your corner helping you to change then prison becomes a recurring theme.

As far as c-murder goes, he became real reckless leading up to that murder charge. Shooting & fighting in clubs, arguing with P over magic's contract, being a multi-millionaire and getting a apt in the projects was by far the dumbest thing I ever heard. Anybody Pre-katrina will tell you how bad it was in NO during that time & here's a successful black man that made it out, became rich but felt the need he had to be "bout that life". Most brothas, especially in NO don't get the opportunities C had & threw it away. Him & P's relationship was rocky leading up that charge & he was disappointed in C. It's just crazy all around.

Money shouldn't change who you are, but it should bring some type of understanding that you can't come to the same conclusions that you used to when you were in the hood. You can and should be a more mature version of yourself. I mean shooting up a club that you know is gunna have camera's is pretty dumb, then add the fact that your a platinum selling artist and everybody there knows who you are you don't think you gon get caught? :wow:

But the whole "you ain't keeping it hood no mo" thing is what makes these artist do these things in the first place. They don't like the idea of people from they hood saying they went weak/soft.
