ive seen a couple people roasting this song on youtube actually

someone said he looked like a younger more inbred ed sheerhan

thankfully i dont have any attachment to country music so i dont care how mediocre it gets, but seeing them steal from rap to sound 'modern' is truly pathetic. they dont have many (if any) actual people who can plumb the depths of that 'pain' that the genre requires. instead its pop music dressed up with steel guitars, drum machines, fake southern accent, and INSANE amounts of auto-tune.

not t-pain style autotune either.. i mean its original intended use - to make shyt singers stay on pitch. iirc the biggest country star that admitted autotune use was reba mcentire. that bytch cant sing at all apparently. it was apparently somewhat of an industry 'secret' until cher came out with Believe in like 1999 or whatever.

none of these modern country stars are genuine people. of course, that goes for all walks of music, but theres something egregious about the poverty LARPing in country music. a lot of them are failed rock artists; theres a sort of nu-metal to rap pipeline that can see exploited by people like kid rock and aaron lewis. if those guys actually had to live on bologna sandwiches and natty ice they'd shoot themselves.

what fukks me up is all the trashy broke cacs i see listening to this shyt. isnt it offensive that this rich 'yankee' is putting on a fake voice and pretending to be you, to take your money? but these are the same people that voted for trump 3 times, so...



i guess the old stuff is all right. i have some old charley pride records. shyt makes me feel like im at waffle house!
