I remember when I was working at Joe's crab shack and this dude came up to us and said "my wife is allergic to shellfish. Can you change the grease in the fryer before making her chicken tenders."


It's Sunday afternoon and busy. We not about to change nothing. His wife came up yelling at the manager and all she told the woman was "ma'am this is a seafood restaurant". They got pissed and left. We also had somebody say they were allergic to shellfish but could still have the lobster bisque bc it didn't actually have any shells in it.

People don't realize how many dumb people walked in before them. You gotta be thorough with allergies

The most racism I encountered was in NYC, California second. I rarely had issues with CACs in the south/Midwest. Not saying they weren’t racist but they were nowhere near as hostile as the aforementioned.

ive lived in Staten Island and Georgia. Dude is not wrong the NY Italians are on some other shyt.

When I was living in Brooklyn, I ended up in Bensonhurst by mistake. Breh, I’ve been in some bum fukk towns in middle America with zero black folk, and yet I wasn’t nowhere near as uncomfortable as I was in Bensonhurst.

The hostility they had towards me was palpable. I couldn’t wait to get out of there.
