slick muthafukka.... that's why you check the line before you even start to pump the gas...
I also wonder if the other guy didn't notice no gas flow was palpable when he pumped. Maybe he noticed but saw the meter moving so he thought it must be working.

He probably did,but you stand there pushing buttons trying to make it work at first. By the time he goes in the store,tells the owner the pump isnt working. That other guy will already be gone.
He doesnt have to stand there and fill it up.
