Former LSU student arrested third time since September on third child porn count

An 18-year-old Baton Rouge man has been arrested for a third time since September on counts of child pornography and indecent behavior with juveniles.
Andrew Paul Easterly, 6335 Antioch Blvd., Baton Rouge, was arrested again Monday on three counts of pornography involving juveniles and two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, according to booking documents.
The most recent arrest warrant for Easterly, a former LSU student who’d previously been arrested in September and again in October, was sealed by order of state district court Judge Trudy White, meaning the details of the latest allegations against him cannot be released.
The cyber crimes division of the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office first arrested Easterly on Sept. 24 on four counts of pornography involving a juvenile and two counts of video voyeurism.
When state investigators first approached Easterly, they found him masturbating to an explicit image of a child. He later admitted to searching for, saving and distributing inappropriate images of children under the age of 13, according to an Attorney General’s Office affidavit filed at the time.
After a search of Easterly’s on-campus room in Herget Hall by LSU police following his first arrest turned up a laptop, iPad Mini, external hard drive and a digital camera containing child porn, he was arrested again on Oct. 29 by university police and booked on 25 additional counts of pornography involving a juvenile, two counts of indecent behavior of a juvenile and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
According to an LSU police report, the evidence gathered during the dorm room search included proof that Easterly photographed a pair of 14-year-old girls showering at his dormitory at LSU.
In interviews with detectives, the two girls said they’d met Easterly at a party, and he invited them both to campus for the Sept. 19 LSU football game against Auburn University, the police report says. LSU police allege Easterly served the pair alcohol and made inappropriate advances and comments toward them before surreptitiously photographing them while they showered.
LSU spokesman Ernie Ballard said Easterly is no longer enrolled at the university.
Bail on the most recent counts has been set at $110,000 for Easterly, who was free at the time of his arrest Monday on a total of $245,000 bail.
