These questions are disingenuous and facetious. With all the articles, books, lectures, documentaries, etc... you post on here, you shouldn't have to ask what can and should be done. Unless you just post all of that information only to appear informed. Unless you just consume all that information, with no intention of putting it into action yourself.

I voiced my opinion about another poster's (ironic) choice of words about two entertainers.

That poster said that I should be more concerned about the impact of these entertainers on the image of Black people, and to the youth who follow them...than about the words he used todescribe their behavior.

I asked that what plans, if any, he had to counter or remove the impact/damage done by these entertainers on mainstream platforms? Or was he content to just direct slur filled rants on the forum. Still waiting for his response.

You weighed in and said that I was copping pleas, and had nothing of substance to add to this discussion. I asked what substantive thing was going to come out of this discussion. Still waiting for the answer to that.

In response to your latest post.................I can tell you what my family did/does . We try to expose all the youngsters in our family to different forms of the arts. Some they will be interested in, some they might have talent in. But they get to see a WIDE range of artists, artforms, and self expression.

They will get older and make their own choices about which artists they are fans of. Hopefully they see the latest hot artist, as an entertainer. Nothing more, nothing less.

I think the pushback to certain artists is based on the the huge and inordinate influence that they have over certain kids. For them to have these international platforms, surely a lot of young people are watching them, but for most of these kids they are just entertainment. Listen to the shyt, then turn it off...do your homework and live your life. When these entertainers take on a bigger role in a kid's life, that's where the problem starts.

Kids are going to be exposed to negative or poisonous influences and in this era a lot of it cannot be avoided. We try to dilute whatever influence that stufff has by exposing them to a lot of positive stuff.Same way that parents serve nutritious meals at home, knowing their kids might be eating straight junk food outside the home.

Either the influence is "huge and inordinate," or it's "just entertainment," not both.

And the "certain kids," then "most of these kids," quantifiers are something you pulled out of thin air.
