Yup. I knew that shyt sounded off as soon as I seen this. I vividly remember the period of time in my life when both of these joints were out. Kind of towards the end of an Era for Eastcoast Rap on one song and the beginning of a Era for Eastcoast Rap on the other.
Tah tripping...but that song was getting major burn from me when I was taking the city bus to summer school with the discman and the burnt CD mix. This was when 2-Way Pagers were becoming that shyt so people were putting that shyt on songs and skits and doin shyt with em in videos.

Agreed. Major labels like Def Jam for the most part always pushed records if they got play, but that kind of support only goes but so far. A lot of artists didn't help themselves in that regard, only to turn around and blame the label. The best analogy I can think of.......Def Jam/Interscope/etc hits a triple. All the artist has to do is single the man on third home, or worst case hit a sacrifice fly/RBI ground ball.....the whiners who never could jump start their careers were the types to strikeout.
