The whole economy on metro Detroit is Mad Max/Beyond Thunderdome status. So that is affecting the nice neighborhoods in the suburbs.
Now that they have x number of Cadillac executives/employees moving to NYC, the Detroit suburbs are going to be that much bleeker.

It's these corporate execs and big wigs who can afford to buy the club boxes at Tigers, Pistons, Red Wings, and Lions games.

At this point, it's better than GM building another plant in Mexico. NYC fits the new Cadillac brand, than Detroit does at this point.

theres alot of places you can move to for cheap rent why would you pick a place that is hell on earth with nothing to offer and worse weather than where you live at?
