But don't give them any type of compensation besides a scholly :stopitslime: Season just fukkin ended and they're already participating in team workouts

Workouts is year round man. I remember getting up at 5 am in the middle of el nino to pull sleds for an hour and a half. It'd be pouring rain, we'd be out in shorts soaking wet, and the coach screaming to go faster.

And people wonder why I think 9-5's are cake......but not to digress he was from my hometown too. The city has measures for when high school coaches can work players out based on the heat and sometimes still players died. Sometimes you can't do enough

I bought a Carbon 15 when I was 18
They don't do enough extensive testing in sports to see if preexisting heart conditions exist. That's usually the culprit in situations like this. Life isn't fair.

:sadcam:
Nah man if the NCAA actually enforced it's practice time regulations I wholeheartedly believed this would have been avoided

So in essence NCAA players are training harder than NFL players without getting paid for it. :mjpls:

This isn't just a football problem. Seemingly healthy, athletic young people die at the recreational, amateur, and professional levels due to undiagnosed heart conditions. Soccer, basketball, track, football, whatever. From high bursts of energy up and down the basketball court during shorter intervals to slow paced, continual exertion like marathons... young people randomly drop dead and a lot of people are left wondering why. The why is because we don't investigate people for underlying issues. A physical isn't foolproof because underlying heart issues don't always manifest themselves like they often do in the form of shortness of breath, unexpectedly passing out after exertion, etc. You can go decades without realizing there is an issue and next thing you know, you do what you've done so many other times, but that time kills you. The problem is these are usually isolated, unexpected issues and luckily, not the norm, but because of that, we don't devote enough energy (money) to ensuring all people are fit to perform. It's a got damn shame.

This. Some dudes don't even know they have certain problems and just drop dead. Just cuz you feel healthy, doesn't mean you are. RIP to that young brother.
