California Man Drives to Utah, Kills His Brother and Sets His House on Fire, Authorities Say
The man later died in a shootout with police caught mostly on a doorbell camera.www.nbclosangeles.com
From the implications in that article and their conversation, I wonder if it means that the house was their mother's house, and she was elderly and needed care so she had moved in with someone else who was taking care of her, and the one brother had taken over her house which the other brother felt some way about.
The fact that the one brother tells the other brother she moved out a year ago, without even acting surprised that he didn't know, suggests maybe they'd been estranged for a long time. Maybe the murderer brother was on the outs with the rest of the family already, and finding out about the mom's home made his anger at them seem "righteous" rather than just petty family bullshyt.
yeah it certainly feels that way...

Yeah I saw the video. It looked like his brother was speaking to him via the Ring camera. It didn't appear that the brother opened the door for him.I saw the video, he rang the doorbell, had a small convo then pulled out gun. Killed the brother, dogs died in fire, wife made it out in critical condition.
