‘Call of Duty’ Coming to Theaters as Paramount, Activision Strike Major Film Deal

The popular video game franchise will become a live action film through the deal, which Paramount CEO David Ellison calls a "dream come true."

In a move that Paramount CEO David Ellison calls a “deal come true,” the Call of Duty video game franchise will become a big screen movie franchise, thanks to a major deal between the entertainment studio and Activision.

Activision and Paramount have inked a deal that will see the studio develop, produce and distribute a live-action film based on the game franchise, “designed to thrill its massive global fan base by delivering on the hallmarks of what fans love about the iconic series, while boldly expanding the franchise to entirely new audiences,” the companies said Tuesday morning.

Simon Riley is on a mission, the target is a couple of nuclear scientists. He eliminates them in their home. While checking for evidence, he sees a sleeping child.

That mission haunted Simon so much he wears a mask & calls himself Ghost to hide from the world.

10 Years Later

While in a Warzone, Ghost is wounded during battle. A teen helps him to safety. The teen tags along to Ghost's dismay. During a quiet moment the teen mentions parents who were scientists & woke up to find police in the living room surrounding 2 body bags.

FAST FORWARD...

Ghost admits he was the killer. The Teen finds out the parents were trying to start a world war and they had to be stopped. After being forgiven, Ghost takes off his mask & gives it to the teen. A heavy weight is finally lifted off his shoulders...
