This is how it worked for us. Neighborhood adults we put Mr. or Ms. in front of first name (i.e. Ms. Essie, Ms. Bertha).
With aunts and uncle, we actually called them by their first name. Which actually used to make people who wasn't in the fam. real uncomfortable. People used to always say "You mean your Aunt Erika." And I be like "No, Erika". I only had one auntie who felt I disrespected her by calling by her first name. And we used to do that since we was kids but as an adult she told me to call her Aunt Barbara (RIP). My parents: Daddy and Ma.

It's funny that you ask though- my ex's nieces and nephews called him by his first name (no Uncle) and it always weirded me out a little.
