AFCON is back


Hosted in Gabon, the continent's premier tournament kicks off next.

Here are the groups:

Barely any minnows in this tournament. All the heavyweights made it, outside of Nigeria. The defending champions are Cote D'Ivoire, who have since fielded a new generation as the old heads all retired after they finally won a trophy.

One East African team (Uganda) and Southern African (Zimbabwe) but everyone else is from the West and North.

Good that he had end product at the end. Sometimes our players like showboating for the sake of it. A lot never grow out of it though. In high school it was not uncommon to see someone dribbling and then stand on top of the ball like the Rio Jesus statue. It doesn't help that the South African league hovers up a lot of talent in the region and that league is the biggest enabler of that type of football. They have dudes dancing and dabbing like this one
